ما هي الموائع الدقيقة؟
الموائع الدقيقة هي علم وتقنية التحكم بالموائع على المقياس الميكروي — في قنوات أرفع من شعرة الإنسان. وعند هذا المقياس يتغيّر سلوك المائع جذريًا: يصبح الجريان طبقيًا تمامًا، والخلط قابلًا للتحكم، وتحدث التفاعلات أسرع وبمواد أقل.
يمكن لرقاقة ميكروفلويدية أن تحلّ محل طاولة مختبر كاملة. فما كان يتطلب لترات من الكواشف وأسابيع من العمل يمكن إنجازه الآن بالميكرولترات في دقائق. وهذا ليس مجرد تصغير — بل يتيح تجارب وعمليات مستحيلة على المقياس الكبير.
