The pressure controller sets stable, regulated pressure across microfluidic lines. Unlike syringe pumps, it drives flow without mechanical pulsation, which is critical for droplet microfluidics, encapsulation and work with sensitive cell suspensions. A closed pressure loop holds the setpoint within a fraction of a percent of full scale, with channel response under 10 ms.
The unit works as a self-contained pressure source and needs no separate compressor or external pump. Several independent channels are set and regulated separately; when external flow sensors are connected, the system switches from pressure stabilization to direct flow control over a range from nl/min to ml/min.
The pressure controller is a core component of the workstation and is engineered as a native platform module rather than a third-party block. This gives unified control, a shared protocol, and consistent integration with the station's pumps and valves.
