The BPR is installed at the outlet of the experimental circuit and maintains a set back pressure. This lets you reproduce high-pressure conditions and obtain comparable data on microfluidic, reactor and test rigs, while protecting pumps, chips, reactors and sensors from pressure swings.
The set point is defined by compressed-air pressure. A flexible diaphragm shuts off flow until the fluid pressure exceeds the set value; the passage then opens, the excess is released and system pressure stabilizes — including when flow rate, viscosity or phase composition change. Pneumatic control makes it easy to integrate into automated rigs.
The 12Kh18N10T (AISI 321) stainless steel body and PEEK diaphragm handle water, oil and gas, including aggressive and contaminated fluids. Five spare diaphragms and five O-rings are included.
