Microfluidic lipid nanoparticle formulation for mRNA with an open architecture — no single-use cartridge lock-in.
mRNA therapeutics and vaccines require lipid nanoparticles with precise size control (40–200 nm) and a narrow size distribution. The platforms that dominate the market lock you into proprietary single-use cartridges at $500–2,000 per run, and at scale it is the consumables that drive the development budget. On top of that, Western LNP formulation platforms are unavailable in Russia under sanctions.
The LABADVANCE Workstation with a dedicated LNP mixer chip formulates nanoparticles with a controlled size distribution through reusable microfluidic mixing. The open architecture means no cartridge lock-in and no DRM: the chip is cleaned, disassembled and reused. Size is set by flow rates and mixing geometry, delivering PDI < 0.2 in typical operating regimes.
A domestically produced LNP formulation platform for developers of mRNA therapeutics, gene-therapy vectors and nucleic acid delivery systems. A single mixing principle scales from screening (µL/min) to pilot (mL/min) via numbering-up, with no re-optimization. Comparable performance at a fraction of the per-run cost of imported systems.
