Once a reaction works in a flask or microreactor, you need a reproducible small-scale batch and evidence that it can scale. Moving to a larger batch reactor degrades mixing and heat removal and shifts selectivity and impurity profile, while manual charging and dosing create batch-to-batch variability.
LABADVANCE designs the system as a continuous process line: feed preparation and dosing, mixing, reaction zones, pressure control, cooling, phase separation and product collection. The regime is defined by flow rates, reactor geometry and residence time, so it can be run for long periods and transferred to a higher-throughput module. Throughput is increased by swapping the reactor, raising flow or adding identical lines in parallel.
Mixers, reactors, heat exchangers, intermediate feed points, separators and fraction collectors are combined in one line. Glass is used for visual monitoring; stainless steel, Hastelloy and ceramics for aggressive media, high pressure and temperature, with individual units designed for up to 350 °C and 89 MPa in a special version. Liquid–liquid and gas–liquid processes, polymerization, neutralization, hydrolysis, oxidation, reduction and slurries are supported.
The software controls flow rates, temperature, pressure and step sequence and logs parameters and alarms — the basis for mass and heat balances and process regulations. You can start with a base line and expand it as new processes arrive; LABADVANCE provides installation, commissioning, training and upgrades.
